Press: Open Ear in the Dram

Open Ear is featured in The Dram magazines May issue. We're written about in an article on "Technology that helps save cash" -
Open Ear have launched the RemoteDJ, the UK's first dedicated, fully licensed online DJ service for bars, cafes, restaurants and shops. The Scottish company, which already has the Blythswood Square Hotel, Abode Hotel, Wannaburger, Snafu Bar, and many more Scottish customers, offers bars, restaurants and cafes a simple online subscription system, which starts at only £10 per month per channel. This means licensees can receive up to date music via five unique streaming channels. New music is added daily and playlists are designed to create the perfect atmosphere in any licensed trade location.
Explains MD, Brian Harvey, "RemoteDJ directly competes on price with Spotify but contains no adverts and much more advanced playlist functionality. Unlike Spotify, RemoteDJ is fully licensed for business use - it is currently illegal for businesses to use Spotify."
He continues, "the streamed service is updated with new music daily, so the time consuming job of music sourcing, purchasing and playlisting is avoided. The player also offers the ability to rate and download tracks, offering a new level of user interaction and a unique platform in which the music industry can promote their new releases."
