Example: Apostrophe Radio
THE BRIEF:
Apostrophe is an award-winning chain of cafes based in London.
Our brief was to provide music playlists that reflects three time periods throughout the day, morning, afternoon and lunch. The client wanted to us to create a bespoke sound track with a unique feel, different from the normal 'coffee table' cafe compilations. They requested more focussed on 'escapism' to a beach resort or holiday destination of the customers choice.
WHAT WE DID:
We created a bespoke music stream with three playlists automated to play according to the time of day specified. The clients brief was very precise, so we took time to compile over 300 tracks of music, handpicked from our partner labels. The music is a mixture of latin, african, chill out, lounge and modern jazz tracks that help create a bright, uplifting feel but do not detract or annoy. The playlists are updated monthly and we have been able to react to specific playlist requests direct from the client.

ADD ONS:
Following the creation of the music stream, we were asked to integrate music onto the client website. To do this we created a widget showing the 'now-playing' track which updates automatically and includes a link to the artist myspace or website. We also built an Mp3 download shop featuring the top ten tracks of the month in the stream. The shop will be updated monthly and is designed to allow Apostrophe customers to 'take home' a piece of the Apostrophe in-store experience, connecting with the brand and discovering new music in the meantime.
